30/03/2018 – Exxon Mobil’s “Ocean Investigator” arrived on Block 10
Exxon Mobil’s “Ocean Investigator” research vessel sailed on Tuesday night from the port of Limassol into Block 10 of Cyprus Exclusive Economic Zone to carry out hydrocarbon explorations for the US oil giant.
23/03/2018 – Cyprus and UK signed updated double taxation treaty
Cyprus and UK signed an updated agreement on double taxation avoidance on income and capital, which will contribute to further developments in commercial and financial relations between the two countries. The agreement, signed in Nicosia by Finance Minister of Cyprus and British High Commissioner.
23/02/2018 – TOURIST ARRIVALS UP BY 21% IN JANUARY 2018
The Statistical service said that the number of tourist arrivals in Cyprus have risen by 21% year-on-year, in the last month, to 62.611, yet another all-time high for January. The increase in arrivals was mainly on 15% annual rise of tourists from the UK, (Cyprus’s largest market of incoming tourism), and arrivals from Greece 57%.
20/02/2018 – PROPERTY PRICES RISE IN THE THIRD QUARTER OF 2017
The Cypriot branch of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) said that property prices have continued to rise across the island in the third quarter of 2017 fuelled by economic growth.
